Debbie moved to the San Juan Islands from North Carolina in 1997, saying "good-bye" to Corporate America and "hello" to the embracing arms of a small arts community and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Debbie creates 3-dimensional art, continually exploring a variety of mediums. She has sculpted flame torched mesh screen, hand built functional clay pots and cast concrete leaves. Debbie’s current focus is designing mixed metal and leather jewelry and weaving baskets embellished with natural elements.
Debbie has served on the San Juan County Arts Council and the Friday Harbor Arts Commission and is currently the coordinator of the Art for Fun workshop program at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art.
